Thomas Robinson is not guilty in the trial of Tom Robinson vs. Bob Ewell. Sure, there are reasons for Tom Robinson to have done what he was accused of, but there are far more explanations for why he would be innocent. One of the most prominent is that Mayella has a bruised right eye, which would have been punched by a left handed person. Tom Robinson has a crippled left arm, but Bob Ewell is left handed, hinting that he could have beaten her. He also felt sorry for Mayella, and helped her do many chores when her own family wouldn't do a single thing for her, and he did it with no pay at all. He did it out of the kindness of his heart. Another thing to think of is that Bob Ewell didn't call the doctor for any treatment. Why would he not send out for a doctor when he had just saw his daughter get beaten and raped. It's because Tom didn't rape Mayella.
